How you can help us






We are always keen to recruit volunteers to assist on our various schemes.  We would like to hear from local people who are willing to spend some time helping in the care of the community. It does not matter how much or how little time you can give and we can be flexible to fit in with your other commitments.  Volunteers can choose in which way or ways they would like to help so they don't feel over-burdened.

All our staff, volunteers and trustee board members are Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked as we are all involved with the most vulnerable members of our community.  It is a priority for our charity to ensure all our service users feel safe, respected and valued.


We are also keen to recruit new members onto our Trustee Board.   If you are interested, please see our How to Contact us page and we will arrange for you to meet with our chairman to discuss the role.





We need a ShopAssist Coordinator!



Applications are invited for the role of ShopAssist Co-ordinator for Ilkley & District Good Neighbours.


This role will require strong administration, people and promotional skills. It will involve recruiting and matching volunteers to clients who need help with their shopping. This invaluable service forms part of a strong support network for the elderly and vulnerable in Ilkley. Promotion and expansion of the scheme will also be an objective.

This paid role will be offered on a six month, seven hour a week contract initially and will be managed by a trustee and supported by friendly office staff.

Donating to our schemes:


All our schemes are financed by fundraising, bequests, small grants and donations.  These ensure we can continue to offer the services to our community.




If you have valued one or more of our schemes or know someone who has and would like to make a bequest, our contact details are listed on How to Contact us page.  Please feel free to ring us if you would like more information. If you would like your bequest to go to a particular scheme, we will ensure this happens provided you detail the scheme / schemes.


Donations and Grants:


If you or your company would like to donate funds to our schemes, we are always in need of additional monies and would value any contribution no matter how small.  Your name or company details will be listed on our Fundraising page.  If you would like to remain anonymous however, we will respect your wishes and you will not be detailed in any of our documentation.
